2016 has been a fantastic year so far. After working with coach Rob Cheetham since the beginning of this year, I have improved massively since turning Pro in 2015.
In my first attempt, I qualified for the World IRONMAN 70.3 Championships, ranked 30th Pro (35 are selected to go).
My results so far this year;
1. 1st female at the Scottish Duathlon Championships
2. 3rd Pro at IRONMAN France – Pays d’Aix 70.3
3. 5th Pro IRONMAN Barcelona 70.3
4. 3rd Pro IRONMAN Staffordshire 70.3
5. 3rd Pro IRONMAN Norway 70.3
I raced Staffordshire IRONMAN 70.3 in 2015 as my first Pro race, this year I was a whole 17mins faster, 22mins off the win last year, 4minutes this year (on a record-breaking day). I’m excited to be racing in Australia at the World IRONMAN 70.3 Championships on the 4th September.
On top of this, I’m extremely excited to say that my partner, Bex Milnes (Triathlon Scotland Performance Coach), and I are now engaged! It was an amazing surprise. I had a bike accident earlier on in the week, and wrote my bike off. She proposed with a new road bike! How could I say no to that ;). I look forward to seeing what the rest of 2016 has in store. With thanks always to 9BAR.
If you haven’t tried some of the range, where have you been? These are the best bars to cure your sweet tooth, and provide you with the energy you need for training, and at work. I regularly consume the carob (my favourite!) 9BARs pre, during and post training. The nutritional elements tick all of my nutritional needs.
