Claire originally started her sporting career as a curler within the Scottish and Great British curling team. She represented Great Britain at the 2014 Olympic Winter games in Sochi claiming the bronze medal as part of the women’s curling team. She also took gold at the 2013 World Championships representing Scotland.
After her amazing curling career Claire decided to retire from curling to pursue a different sporting passion, track cycling. Cycling was part of her training as a curler and it was the sport she favoured doing as part of her regime.
Claire began cycling in May 2014 and within a matter of months has already become a sliver medallist at the Scottish track championships.
She is currently taking Scotland by storm, one race at a time.
After just four months of training to compete as a professional cyclist Claire took part in the Scottish team time trial championships achieving second place to take the silver medal. A month later she again took sliver in the Scottish track championships. These were both great achievement for Claire in such limited training time.
Claire will be taking part in the Scottish and British time trial championships and track championships in the Individual pursuit, team pursuit, point’s race and the scratch race, this time I will be going for Gold.9bars are the best tasting energy bars available, especially the peanut 9bar which is my favourite. They are so convenient to have and are a great source of energy on and off the track.
